CALL BACK AUDITION Thank you to all who auditioned. This is a list of the student actors that we need to look at one more time. THIS IS NOT THE CAST LIST! Please check back on this site, Saturday after 7:00 pm for the FULL CAST LIST. WARNING: Please make good decisions about using technology to share your emotions! Sharing your happy or sad thoughts (excited or angry thoughts) can be very dangerous to your relationships to your friends in the Performing Arts Department, as well as your future in the Choir and Theater Department. If you don’t get the role that you have been hoping for, please take some time away from your phone and your computer. ALSO, if you DO get the role that you have been hoping for, be careful of what you put into print! You could easily crush a friend if they didn’t get the role that they have dreamed of. Be conscious and caring about your relationships with your friends. Also know that if you spew poison on Facebook, know in advance that you will be burning many bridges for the rest of the year. THINK – WAIT and then respond. This is written in love from your directors!
IMPORTANT: READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION. ......JUST ADDED.... Thursday, after school - CALL BACK REHEARSAL! Mrs. Gleason will be guiding you through this rehearsal. This time is for you. It’s to help your actual call back on Friday go more smoothly. Just think, on Friday at your real call back audition, it will not be the “first time” that you singing the actual character songs. On Friday, no one will be given any time to spend practicing the songs, so this is it. We really hope that you can make good use of this time!! (Don’t forget to thank Mrs. Gleason too as this is an added day of rehearsing for her!!!) MORE INFO TO KNOW & UNDERSTAND Please understand that at the actual callbacks you may not be asked to sing every song that you learn at the rehearsal, but you should be prepared to do this, if you really want to make the best impression. If the directors ‘hear and sing’ what they are needing to ‘hear and see’, then they will not just continue to have you sing. Make sure to check every character on this call back list as some students are called back for multiple roles and should be as prepared as possible for each character. Please note the list of songs that you will need to know. If you already have the CD from Hairspray you can spend some time listening to the songs before you get to the rehearsal. You should even YOUTUBE your songs. We are just asking for your VERY BEST on Friday. We as directors have the toughest job in the world on Friday night, from 5:30 onwards. But here’s to the best HAIRSPRAY production ever! Finally, We will see you at the HAIRSPRAY CALL BACK AUDITION on FRIDAY, 2:30 - 5:00 pm. Plan on staying the whole time- we'll let you go as soon as we've seen what we have seen from you. Plan on singing/acting and maybe even some dancing. Thursday is a call back rehearsal for you.
