GENERAL AUDITION INFO - including ballet dancer info

Everyone auditioning for a role in the cast, both lead and ensemble, must do BOTH parts of the audition – SING & Act.

What you will do at this audition is very close to what is done in the real world of musical theater.  What you prepare could be used to get a role on Broadway, if you choose to pursue that future.  Read on for all the details of the audition process and the complete run of our show.

Break a leg…we believe in you!

BALLET DANCER ROLE:

If you are interested in auditioning for a Ballet Dancer, please know that this is a dance only role.  No singing is needed except in the role of Meg.  To audition for the ballet, you must have had at least 4 years of pointe classes.  Arrive at the audition with black leotard, pink tights, pointe shoes, hair in a bun.  This is serious, traditional pointe work.

CHRISTINE & MEG ROLE:

Please plan on coming to the Ballet Audition, dressed to dance for this audition, but you only need to wear ballet slippers.  We want to see if you can carry yourself as a trained ballerina. You will not be expected to go on pointe, but you must look like you belong to the Ballet Corpe that work for the Paris Opera.  (If Meg is able to dance pointe, all the better.)
